Our Story
Mountaintop Publishing, LLC was born from a simple conviction: that great stories, wild cartoons, honest poetry, and hard-won memoirs deserve to exist in the world — even when the big houses say no.
We are a small, independent press based in San Mateo, California. We publish fiction, graphic novels, cartoon books, and poetry. We don't chase trends. We chase work that has something to say.
Our catalog ranges from a 600-page satiric fly epic to Greek-American poetry written in the tradition of Gibran, from underground comics to a blues harmonica player's memoir of life on I-80. If that sounds eclectic, good. That's the point.

The Press
Mountaintop Publishing is a labor of love, not a corporate philosophy. We work closely with our authors, take our time with every title, and care about every page. We are not trying to be the biggest publisher. We are trying to be the right one — for the right books, and the right readers.
